It was heartwarming to receive many very nice comments this week from you. It takes time to build an audience and well, taking about democracy and getting people excited about engaging in the democratic process is maybe one of the hardest tasks I could have chosen. It's not exactly the sexiest of topics ! I've tried to gain your interest and trust by providing interesting, thought provoking & inspirational articles to show by example the kind of good decisions we could be making more. Apparently . . . it's beginning to work !
Introducing the concept of a #CulturalCompass is a mamouth task. It's new. It's never been tried before. But this hasn't scared me off, it's only made me try harder. Next step - actually really using the idea of a #CulturalCompass as a guideline for decision making - that's what I'd like to see. Decision making that is #ValueBased rather than because of the forces of special interests and the highest bidder for policy, public fiscal spending and new programs. So please continue to enjoy the Good News Revue blog (Hey, there's more than enough negative reporting out there!) and share it with your friends.
If you are truly interested in inventing a better future for us and our children's children, have a good look at the #CitizenWishList Conversation Starter and add your thoughts to that. It is a new tool for engagement in the democratic process. The conversation is just beginning so help to light a fire . . .
